Today In Music History

Steve Mecca

December 9th. The year is 1967:
The Doors were playing a gig in New Haven Ct. A cop finds Morrison in a backstage shower making out with a woman. An argument ensues and the cop maces Morrison in the face. An hour late to his own concert, Morrison gets on stage and tells the audience about the incident and taunts the police. Morrison is arrested and dragged off stage in handcuffs. The crowd gets pissed-off and riots, leaving the venue a mess.
